- Account Information: When you sign in via Google, we collect your Name, Email Address, and Profile Photo URL to create your user profile.
- User Content: We collect the data you generate within the app, including Groups you create or join, Activities you add, Consent Ratings (scores), Roles (e.g., Top/Bottom), and Personal Limits/Notes.
- Friendships: We store the email addresses or User IDs of partners you explicitly invite to your group.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (required for syncing data and managing subscriptions).
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous data on how you interact with the app, such as screens viewed, to help us improve the user experience.
C. Information We DO NOT Collect (Biometrics)
- Biometric Data: If you enable the "App Lock" feature, Aligned uses your device's native biometric APIs (FaceID, TouchID, Android Biometrics). We do not collect, store, or transmit your biometric data. All biometric validation happens locally on your device hardware; the App only receives a "Success" or "Fail" signal from your operating system.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the App's core functionality (e.g., syncing your consent limits with your partners).
- Manage your account and authentication via Google Sign-In.
- Process In-App Purchases and manage your "Premium" status.
- Display non-personalized advertisements (for free users).
- Respond to your customer service requests.
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. However, we share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App. These partners are compliant with GDPR and have their own privacy policies.
A. Infrastructure & Backend
- Google Firebase: We use Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) to securely host your account details, groups, and activities. Your data is stored on secure Google Cloud servers.

- Google AdMob: For users who have not purchased "Remove Ads," we use Google AdMob to display advertising banners. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve ads.

C. In-App Purchases
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases (e.g., the "Remove Ads" upgrade). RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase tokens to validate your payment status. We do not store your credit card or payment information on our servers; this is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
- Active Accounts: We keep your data while your account is active so you can access your groups and ratings.
- Deleted Accounts: If you delete your account via the "Settings" page, your personal data is removed from our live database immediately. Residual copies may remain in secure backup archives for a short period as required by technical constraints before being permanently overwritten.
6. Age Restrictions (18+)
Aligned is strictly for users aged 18 and over.
We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18, we take steps to remove that information from our servers immediately.
